Most corals are carnivores/detrivores not herbivores, so phyto is pretty much wasted on them. Yes phyto does feed pod's, but in a mature tank, normally pod's are a plenty. Don't misinterpet this comment as to not feed phyto, it is a good thing, but feed very sparingly, depending on the tank size and contents. As far as DT's, save your $$$ and get some Nannochloropsis Algae Paste "Greenwater" from brineshrimpdirect.com, feed very small amounts as to not pollute the tank. One bottle will last a very long time and it never goes bad. DT's is very pricey and spoils easily. Also at brineshrimpdirect.com, they say the Algae Paste "Greenwater" will feed SPS corals, as far as I know that has never been proven, but the product is great, it is also good to feed zoo plankton if anyone cultures them to feed either fry or the tank.
