I put in the amount of red slime remover last night. And now it is all gone. I will be doing a water change on Wednesday. I also will be adding some phosoban to the reactor. Thanks for the help all.

Default Red Slime

I've battled the same stuff, done the erthomycin and had to turn off my skimmer for a while because of it.

THEN I was reading in one of my reef books that low Specific Gravity and Salinity can cause it to bloom. Sure enough, checked it our and it had dropped, worked on bringing it back up, and the red algae disappeared without any other treatment.

Just my experience.

I used the red slime remover just the 1 time. I turned off the skimmer for a day or so. I did notice the salt level was down.
Thanks
John
