I'd like to thank GRMAS for putting on this awesome swap, and for such awesome raffle prizes. Those Blastomussa wellsi and the Acanthastrea lordhowensis look awesome in my tank . I'd also like to thank everyone who bought things from me, and red79 for the mini carpets and robmacy for the skimmer. I hope for another swap in the near future!!!!
Also, on behalf of Solomon Seas, I'd like to invite all of you stop by the shop and check out our corals there. The pc lights over the tank at the swap did nothing justice. You really have to check out those acros under the metal halides for the full effect.

Had a great time at the swap. Great to see everyone. Was starting to forget what a few of you looked like. Ther was a lot of great stuff there. We can't wait for the next swap so that we can get rid of some of our old stuff. It's a little crowded in our tank. I think I may have gotten a little carried away. Thanks again for a great swap and to everyone we bought from. Hopefully the trader rating will work.

I hope the pink zoa's the 3 of you got look as good in your tank as they do in mine, post a pick when they open up. You can see the bigger frag that I kept here for my Nano/Eel tank, and they are still a hot pink under 72w PC lighting, I hope they stay that way under PC's. I got the one right below the pinks at the swap, it also has 2 green button polyps on it. |

So about this trader rating thing...can someone I sold stuff to or bought stuff from hook me up a little here? I feel all alone at zero.
*edit* Ok, nevermind. The stupid thing doesn't seem to be working anyways.

You guys and gals at GRMAS deserve some major credit! If I hadn't already known it was the first swap, I would have thought you had been doing it for years... Great job and thanks!
Thanks also to everyone who picked up corals from me, hope they do well for you.
Once again, if anyone has any questions, problems, concerns, compliments about corals/clams they bought from me please do let me know! Sorry I was late, if anyone missed out on something because of it, I apologize...I'll see you at the next swap!

Wow Scott- I'm not sure what you could have done to make it better. Maybe have it next door to my house Really, I was impressed from the time I came to the first sign at the exit ramp. I haven't done frag swaps before, but I've done tons of car and motorcycle swaps. If you told us you had hired a professional company to organise and run this swap, I would have asked for their card. The facility was great, well lit and lots of room, and so many of the people I talked to said as much. I was glad to put names to some faces, and thanks to everyone who sold me the awsome frags I took home to my bare tank. My best weekend this year.

I also was very pleased with the sale. Based on the feedback I'm seeing, I expect that we'll have a bigger turnout and more sellers next year. The 14 corals I bought looked great in my tank. Some had polyp extension almost immediately.
Likes:
-sellers who had pictures of the corals for sale (either in a binder or on a posterboard), showing them in a tank as they appear when they're not stressed out
-if all I had to look at was a stressed coral with no polyp extension, it made it very difficult to determine what I was getting
-prices: as expected they were good
-location: finally a frag sale that is on the west side of the state.
Areas for possible improvement:
-raffle : seemed to move a little slow. This is a pretty weak complaint.
-variety: perhaps we could get a few more fish, inverts, macro-algae, and old equipment for sale (again, not a real complaint, but more of a suggestion for how to make it even better)

I had a good time at the swap aswell. I got some great corals, but I did find that the things I wanted most had been placed here to be reserved before the swap. I did get lucky and got a couple pieces I really wanted, including blasto merletti, acan lord frag, and oxypora frag, but I think the only reason I did come away from the swap with these pieces was because I reserved them here ahead of time. Without reserves I think I would not have gotten much of what I was after.
Also, it seems like the doors were opened to non-sellers before the 11AM set time...

the swap was great and id like to thanks those who participated in making it such a great event. i agree with some of the other posts, seemed like everything was reserved. also i did hear people talking about how they were there at like 10:30 already buying stuff. i think if it starts at 11 the doors should open at 11 for non sellers. minor thoughts on how to make it a little better but not a hit by any means on the group that set it up because it happens at every swap. i enjoyed that raffle and even treated myself to a few slices of pizza, with all that said i will definently be at the next one!!

I was trying to give you a trader rating but it wouldn't let me. Trust me you would have gotten a huge one from me. I wonder if Beaker Bob can get them since he posted his own seperate thread. Guess you'll have to do that next time if that works better.
