Went to Toledo Aquarium this weekend and traded in a coral beauty that I got from there a few weeks ago because he definately turned out to not be so reef safe.I know it's all about the individual fish which is a shame it was pretty. Ryan being the upstanding guy he is gave me a full store credit for what I paid for the fish to begin with. Can't ask for better than that add in some of the other great deals he does on here and you have a great new LFS. But what puts him over the top is the customer service. My family got to meet him and his wife this weekend and you would have thought I was at his house looking at his personal setup. He let my kids (ages 2&3) touch some starfish which the 2 year old thought was great and the 3 year old could'nt stop talking about later. Then he gave them each free rubber bands which anyone with young kids knows is the coolest thing in the world next to a big cardboard box to play with. I walked out of there with a new filter sock and an awesome long tentacled plate coral, and a great experience. Nowhere will you find better deals and better customer service. I have been in there a few times but already enough that he remembers my name and face and like I said the personal attention and interaction with the kids made it for a plesant trip to the fish store. Could'nt ask for better people or a better LFS.

Keep up the good work Ryan and Crew, I'll be coming to your store as long as you're open.

Well, all the customer service hype about them is really true, & I got to experience it first hand myself.

I bought a 29G Biocube in January 2008. One of the hinges on the feeding door on the hood snapped in March 2009. The feeding door still worked, but was a little broken. I had to break down the tank late last year because I moved to the west side of the state.

Over the last couple of weeks, I decided I wanted to start up a FW tank with it, since having a reef in a 2nd floor apt would be a major pain, if you ask me.

So, I wanted to put the well known customer service to the test. I called them up, & told my situation with the feeding door.

No questions asked, no receipt neeed....they shipped me a brand new feeding door w/o charge. I received it in the mail today.

I really wish they made bigger tanks. Either way - it really is true. They rock big time!

Reef Paradise is a LFS located at 2902 Richfield Road in Flint, MI. I first found this store by doing a Google search. Immediately upon entering the store, I got a mom and pop shop feel, which I prefer over the commercialized feel of chain stores. The displays in the shop are very well kept and pricing is clearly labeled. Being a smaller store, the selection is average, but Mike, the manager, can get you just about any livestock through a special order at no additional cost. The whole staff of the shop are very knowledgeable and have been able to answer any questions I had about my aquarium. Overall, I would go to Reef Paradise nine times out of ten over a chain store and a majority of the time over other LFS's that are further away. The environment in the store is very down to earth, the employees are knowledgeable and polite, the pricing is below or on par with other Fish stores in the area, and the quality of the livestock is second to none. If you live in Flint or the surrounding areas, you may no longer have to drive to Metro Detroit or Lansing for all your aquarium needs as Reef Paradise is an excellent LFS.

Unfortunately by living on the west side, I won't be visiting much. Nonetheless, I'm glad I went. I'm always up for checking out new LFSs.
