I would just like to add that hyposalinity is a great option for treating ich, but I would never attempt it in a tank with corals and inverts!

I agree, but because I have yet to buy a refractometer and the window for hypo salinity is so small I wanted to be 100% sure and go with copper. Its true that cupramine is not as harsh on fish as other forms, in fact my fish barely even noticed and were probably more stressed from the move than the copper. After a few days they displayed normal behavior without any stress.
