Default Fish popeye

my unicorn tang has popeye just want to know if I should leave him be or take him out and treat it.

In the past with other fish I just let it be, but I really don't want this fish to have problems later on.

I'd say leave him. I had a Cuban Hogfish that had it. Left him and it went away. Now my Starki Damsel is about to recover from it also. Couple weeks it'll take or sooner.

I personally would treat it. If its not from collection of the fish it is generally a bacterial infection....I am not sure if it can pass on to other fish but I wouldnt take the risk. Just my opinion.

Could always try treating the tank with epsom salt, not sure on the dosage though.

My Vlamingi had this and ended up losing the eye. It looked like it was going away, but it was taking the eye with it.

Edit: I didn't treat it, I let it run it's course. In hindsight, I wish I did something.
