Rays and Sharks

If you had a 300 gallon tank, how many sharks and rays would be appropriate to have in there. I was thinking about bamboo and bluspot rays.

seeing your other thread, if this is your first tank, i would not recommend starting with these type of fish, they can be very delicate and difficult to keep, especially for a beginner.

I had 1 bamboo, 1 cali ray, and 1 smoothound in my tank.

After a year and a half or so, it really isn't enough for them.

edit: this was in a 300 gallon

You plan on having any LR in the DT? and what are the dimensions?

I wouldn't go with any more then 2 rays and 2 sharks in the tank unless you are keeping all your LR in the sump. I have a shark and a blue spot in my reef, and they seem to be doing well.

I'd double check with Amazon Stingrays. Rays are their middle names over there & they can give you good, sound advice.

Just remember to consider the adult size of these animals before adding them to your tank. Also, their waste can be their worst enimies, as well as the mess they leave when eating so make sure you filtration and protien skimmer ar for the task.
