Default Thinking of starting an aggresive tank.

Thinking of starting a tank with more aggressive fish than I normally keep. A few I'm thinking of would be a dwarf lion, eel ,and maybe a trigger. My questions are compatability? I've kept a trigger before and was without a clean up crew , is there something to have in place of clean up crew? Is it possible to have sps? Or is water quality gonna limit coral with these fish? If anyone has suggestions or knows of someone with a thread on a similar system would be appreciated thanks.

All those fish seem fine together, how big of tank? and i would have to say no to the sps, zoos will love the dirtyish water tho, pretty much any soft coral wont mind the higher nitrates produced by the big eating carnivores

70 gallon tank. Would I need anything besides the typical dsb , live rock , sump, protein skimmer? How about a clean up crew, should it be replenished as it is eaten or dont bother?

Clean up crew depends on size if fish and how much you feed 'em. I have a 200 with a Niger Trigger and a Porcupine Puffer. They're both around 4"-5" and I have probably about 100 blue leg hermits in there. The fish are fed well and *mostly* ignore the crabs. The puffer will pick one up from time to time but is unsuccessful in breaking the shell. However, he did relieve a sally lightfoot of most of his legs.

The CUC is up to you. How much work you want to do cleaning up tank vs. how much you want to spend on the all you can eat buffet. Small hermits will get away unharmed for the most part and larger critters and snails will be picked off. You also have to be sure to remove any casualties that aren't eaten. Some fish will hunt even when full . I think an army of little hermits works the best. Most snails have to be flipped back over to much or they die and pollute the tank. Hope this helps.
