LOL These are lights dude, car manufacturers give you 3-5 years (which I would actually use a new car warranty in 2 years cuz of miles... and thats the 100k powertrain warranty I am talking about there LOL) and you pay how much more? I am guessing you have never bought a new car, unless you only expect/want/need it to last for 2-5 years Quote:

My thoughts exactly lol | You are taking the issues all wrong. If a product was as good as the 50,000 hours they claim they there should be no issues with a 3 to 5 year warranty no need to attempt to talk cars with me. I am a Automotive troubleshooter for GM. I didnt want a 13.5 year warranty but would expect 1 to be more that 365 days. Other LED manufatures as I understand have a 2 year min. If you spent that kind of money on lighting and it lasted 18 months and now quits how would you feel? It was suspost to work a min in my eyes 5 years. be realistic the claim is 13 years and offer on 1 year warranty on your product. These companies need to put there product put there $ were the claim is in writting. If it is that good and that expensive 3 to 5 year warranty should be a non issues..... WOW do the math they actually only waranty it for 6% of its expected life

How do these units (the panorama) compare to the Aqua Illuminations LED modules?
Are they controllable where you can adjust the color from a more white to more blue look?
Do they have any moonlight type cycles?
Do they come in any color other then black?
Very interested to hear more, I am going to be setting up a nano and was planning on going with Aqua Illuminations, these are roughly the same price so would like to hear more about these.

These are not in the same league as the AI units. Think of it like comparing a Nova Extreme to an ATI Powermodule. It produces a decent amount of light, and will be good for those with a mixed reef that is somewhat light on sps (depends on placement). The AI units produce a lot more light, but have a pricetag to follow. You would need two AI units over the Solana 34g that is at Kees.
They are not controllable in any way. This is because of the patent issue with Orbitech. AI is licensed, so they can do whatever they want. There are no moonlights either.
It's a good fixture for the price, provided you know the limitations. The stand is great, and very sturdy. It looks pretty sharp too. Light color is in the 12K range, and is very crisp.

I really like the clean look of the fixture and how bright the light is, it looks good over the nano at Kee's.

I will get some stunner strip only pics on Wednesday. We are also putting on an MP10 on the tank so anyone that wants to see one of those running on a small tank we will have it going.
So far my observations are that Im impressed. All of the acros are holding their color if not improving. I will make a new tank build thread on this one with weekly progression shots if people are interested.

Hey BlackGrandPrix
Do you have a Technical link for this Light Fixture ?
I would like to see how many LEDs per Driver.
It would be a disaster if a Driver went out and you loast 1/4 of your lights
and had to wait for a replacement Driver.
Has anyone the light output a PAR Meter ?
