Yeah, the pump I got was identical to the sedra with no label, but by some miracle, I am not sitting here with burn scars over 80 percent of my body and whenever someone comes to see my tank they are immeditately shocked when I show them the receipt and what it all cost when they ask me where I got it from and how they can get one too. lol
I actually suspect that this pump IS a sedra pump directly from the original manufacturer without te sticker and price tag of the middleman. I see a lot of that. I have even seen a KZ skimmer made in taiwan for around 200 bucks that they sell for 2500 in america.
But this doesn't shock me because the same thing happens with these expensive lights. Even the places that market them don;t make them for the most part. A lot of them are made in the same places the "cheap" ones are made, but as they change hands and have import taxes imposed in transit, they become more expensive.
I think we'll let this one stew over the holiday weekend and give some time for cool-aid and scooby snacks so people calm down and maybe we can continue this discussion with the data.
I don't really wish to continue this today since the posts accusing me of sexual inuendos, and homophobia started. That was interesting though!
I got a few laughs from that.
And let me know how the lights go fortunis and sharkbaitz.
It's nice when people are brave enough to try something out without cursint it from the getgo because it's not the "leading brand".
Have a great holiday weekend all!
Peace!
