The tank barley had a cycle since I started with 50% live rock and a big bottle of dr. Tims. I but all the coral and fish in yesterday. I am going to let everything chill for a few weeks before I aquascape.

Here are a few picture of how the cabinet turned out

The frag tank portion of the sump turned out great.

The center brace is removable for more access to the cabinet is needed. Overall I am super happy with how everything turned out.

I'll post some more pictures of the DT once I aquascape everything

That's pretty **** innovative to put the frag rack in there like that. If I ever go that route, I'm definitely re configuring my sump and incorporating that into it. Nice job man.

Well, I learned my lesson (again) on trying to save money on equipment. I bought one of those jebao dcp return pumps and it crapped out in a few weeks. So I ordered a Vectra M1 last night. Instead of saving money it ended up costing me an extra $100 in the end.

Was there a power outage of some sort associated with the failure? I had something like that happen, but I was able to clean the pump and get it back online. Still, I'm thinking about getting a more reliable AC pump as my return. I have the DCT version... so a bit different. Have read a few instances where the DCP has failed. Better you found out now then a few months from now.

No power outage, i was getting an error message "er 01". I tried all the recommended fixes but could not keep it going longer than a few hours before it shut down again.

Like you said I'd rather it happen now than when I'm away on vacation.

Right now I'm just powering it off and on every hour with fusion, assuming it's shut down with a failure. At least then I know it's running most of the time while I'm away at work.

What a pain. Sounds like it won't even be an option as a back-up pump. Sorry to hear that. Do you have another pump that you can run as back-up for now? Just use a hose instead of the hard plumbing in the interim. Know what I mean?

Replaced that crappy pump with a Vectra M1, very impressed.

Here is a full tank shot. All of the coral transferred well and look happier than ever.

I sold the 50/50 reefbrite and ordered the actinic blue xhos. They are scheduled to arrive today. The transition between tanks was pretty flawless. Corals are all responding well and already growing and coloring up!
