Nano noob

Hi everyone. Just found this site earlier today,Looks like a wealth of knowledge. I had a 35g hexagon years ago, Live rock and fish. Really kind of winged it through it. Held up real nice for a couple years. My kids bought me a 5g for my birthday. They knew I always liked having sw fish. I would really like to try a nano tank. I know smaller tanks are harder to maintain but I really love the coral. I'm sure I can pull this off with a little help... Thanks Steve...

Hi Steve,
Just dont over stock, and keep up with water changes and you should be good. Have fun and good luck with your new tank.

the five gallon may look nice but it will be alot of work for a beginner...the bigger the tank the easier it is to maintain. im having some troubles with my ammonia right now in my 29, i have to keep testing my water alot to make sure i dont get a spike,i cant imagine how much time id spend maintaing a nano, but hey if you enjoy sw keeping and will take the time to keep it maintained you'll enjoy it...good luck

It's not that difficult if you don't overstock. This is KEY. Keep up with water changes and your topoffs.
