Default aquariumleds

I am looking to get lighting for my 125 gallon tank. I want to change it from FWOLR to a reef tank. I need to upgrade my lighting and saw some peple saying the aquariumleds were pretty good for the money. There are a few different options and not sure what I would need? 120 watt or 240 watt? 14k 20k? 1 watt LED or 3 watt LED? Why is the 1 watt cheaper than the 3 watt?

It costs more to make. The 3 watt are better for deeper tanks. The 1 watt goes shallow and wider.

I'm sorry, I believet the 3 watt is cheaper than the 1 watt just didn't understand why. Would I need 3 of the 3 watt's for my 125 gallon?

Correct and as I stated the 1 watt cost more to make. and yes 3 would fine. You may need to supplement the color with reds to get the color you want.

Ya I've ben reading about the aquariumleds lately, they seem pretty nice but they need t5 with them to get the most out of them. I was thinking 2 t5ho with a blue plus and Fiji purple bulbs to supplement them.

Taotronics are another led that is in the same price bracket as the others and look nice but the aquariumleds seem to have a following over at RC.
