Default Cycle with skimmer?

Re-establishing a tank that has been down for a few years. Skimmer on or off while cycling?

I think you'll find people who do both. I run it after a week or so because it takes a bit to dial it in anyway.

I think it's a good way to get it broken in and make sure it's running smoothly.

I've had mine on. It was a used Reef Octopus I picked up and wanted to see how it ran and also wanted to dial it in prior to putting any livestock in there.
