The only time I enjoyed power outages was when I lived on my grandpa's farm. everytime it happened it was like camping.

Hi Doug,

Sorry to hear about the power outage. Hopefully they get the issue resolved quickly. The news shows a big red Blob moving over Romeo right now. Its not too pretty here in Shelby either. The news just showed spotty T-Storms tomorrow as well.

Good Luck,
James

I woke up today on the sound of T Storm and my son was so scared! he's two and a half years old. I was scared too not because of the T Storm, but because of a posibility of a power outage Lol! In Ohio alot of areas have power outage and on NPR they said it will take few days to get the power restored.

I have been running on GEN. Since yesterday about 5PM. The 320 and 90 are happy. Best investment. DTE says it will be restored today bet 5 and 8PM.

DTE is saying 9:30-11:00 pm tonight for us....

about the generator, yes, they are nearly a must have for reef keeping.

we have a box where you can control everything in the house, if you want to run it from the power line or the generator just by flicking a switch. as for the generator just plugs into the house. super convenient. would recommend this to everyone as it takes me about 5 min to get the generator from the barn, start it, plug it in and switch the fridge and aquariums to the generator.

keep an eye on voltage too.... a brown outage can make sensitive aquarium equipment blow up. I once had a generator that put out 135 volts... was nervous, but nothing blew up (only ran power heads and a return pump just incase)... it did make the fridge squeek more than normal and a couple of the power heads started chattering a few weeks later back on normal 115 volts.... but that might have just been coincidence. I have heard of people having serious issues with under 105 volt brown outages. Bound to happen a bit in this heat.

Hope everyone has power back on! Best of luck in the the heat if you don't have air!
