Default Pinktail Triggers

Anyone have experience with a pinktail trigger? are they reef safe, or i guess are they safe with cleaner shrimps, crabs, etc. I have read alot where people who have never had a pinktail would never trust one in a reef, I just havent read anything where someone actually had a pinktail and had it eat their inverts?

My niger trigger leaves snails and hermit crabs alone. I threw some in with him in his quarantine and he couldn't care less about them.

I would recommend a Sargassum Trigger for a reef tank. They are one of the most docile of all triggers. I have personally had them in a few reef tanks and both were model citizens.

I have a pinktail in my reef tank :-) great little citizen. I have cleaner shrimp, blood shrimp, banded shrimp, hermits, snails, clams, tube worms, emerald crabs, porcelain crabs, and he doesn't mess with any of them. The only thing he seemed to wipe out was the peppermint shrimp. I never saw him eat any of them, but noticed that they all of a sudden disappeared, and he is the most likely.

I recommend them for reefs. I have had blue throats, pink tails, and sargassum triggers in my reef tank, and none of them have ever been a problem.

Mine loves cleaner shrimp, they hang out with him in his cave all the time.

He is very fat and happy because I feed him 7 times a day with a fish feeder.....has never eat anything that he wasn't supposed to.

7 times a day?!?!? Holy crap! Lol. Mine eats once or twice , along with everyone else, no special feedings.

The feeder does it all....Eheim Dual Digital Aquarium Fish Feeder....

It is a small amount each time (6 times not 7, sorry).....love it

Don't have to worry on vacations and keeps the tank super consistent as for as NO3 goes. I have to fill it about every 10 days, batties twice a year, and that is it...

Fish are always happy.

That feeder looks super cool. Did you buy it locally, or online?
