Default Ricordea issues

Over the past week or so I have had two mushroom corals touch or come into contact with my Ricordea. One died and the other I am trying to revive (it still has color although the whole side that was in contact looks like hell) at the bottom of my tank. Should I not place anything but other Ricordeas near this thing? I would like to say that it was something else but two to come into contact, two to look like crap after the fact.....crazy!

your assumptions are correct. Ricordeas have a power sting, nothing should go next to them except other Ricordeas.

I have had green mushrooms kill my Ricordea before I was hoping for the other way around of course!

But in general mushrooms do have a rather high sting compared to other softies!

Ricordea!!!! I had to move everything away from that! Today when I got home it was like it was purposely reaching it's "Finger" towards the Hammer coral in there and it just looks deflated. It didn't even touch it....So,it got what it wanted which is its own space.

I'm pretty sure your hammer coral would of killed the Ricordea and not vice versa

i would agree. those hammers are very intense.
i was working around mine just the other day and the clown fish snuck up on me and bit me, causing my hand to jump in surprise hitting my hammer, got stung pretty good good on the back of my hand. coral stings are funny, they dont hurt at all, but some are noticeable enough that you know whats going on.

I moved things away from it for now until I can figure out where I am going to put things again. Thanks for all your input!
