I stilll have both my frags they are doing good. Not much to see in a 2 week photo time period so I posted 1 pic each month (towards the end of the month). I missed the May photo and since I think this is going to end in June, I figure I'll just post one for the end.so I posted March, April, June. What I tried to do was show the coral from the same spot and the same distance/perspective so you can compare the pics side by side and get a feel for the difference. Many of the other pics are macro shots or they are taken from a totally different perspective/angle so it is hard to really get a sense of comparison of what the difference is. I guess we should wait to hear from Ryan for the official end date and how he wants us to handle the pics we do have. I would hope that everyone at least kept track with photos of monthly (at a minimum) growth, even if they did not post them. Since I had just setup my new tank in March, I have a ton of pics of my corals over the past 4 months. I am sure there are several of the competition corals, just not from the same perspective I have been trying to use. Maybe we should extend it to 6 months? I have noticiible differences and growth, but it is hard to tell how much is polyp extention vs. skeletal growth good luck to all, I think this is going to be a difficult one to judge, |

I agree with you Dale, a 6 month end time might give better results. Just by looking at my frag nice encrusting growth but not much on skelatol from what I can tell. Coloration would probably improve also with more time.

I only got one but it's encrusting good and looks pretty much on par with the other recent pictures I've seen of that variety |

Here are my pics. I missed May so I only have 3 sets to show. I was leary about this because I had just setup this tank the week before this started and I made the total switch from metal halide to all LED lighting. Based on my home made rig, I am really please with the results. I do not think I would have had any better growth or coloration with my halides. March 28th. Here are the first pics, same as everyone else a few fresh cut frags 3-28 Blue Prostrata ![]() 3-28 Pink Milli ![]() April 18th. Only about 3 weeks later and they are starting to color up. Cut mark is still visible on the prostrata 4-18 milli on left Blue Prostrata on right ![]() 4-18 milli on left Blue Prostrata on right ![]() May. I missed the May photos. I have some tank shots but they are not frag specific June 26th. Final shots Close up of the prostrata, you can see solid color in the tips and some new sprouts in the base. The cut mark has healed over nicely. 6-26 blue prostrata ![]() Another close up of the prostrata, you can see 2 new tips sprouting on the right hand side and the 2 on the tips of the main branches. 6-26 blue prostrata ![]() The milli has some good new growth starting in the base, the tips have finally started to show some yellow/green color. This should be really nice in about 6 more months, nice pink color with yellow or green tips. The color is coming in strong. 6-26 pink milli ![]() Here they both are togehter, milli on left Blue Prostrata on right. Mounted on 1 rock side by side as they were grown. |

Since no one has responded and In my opinion my frags seem to have grown the best based on the pics. I will consider myself the winner. Fragster please let me know when I can pick up the prize colony. If anyone thinks differently please let me know.

I talked to Fragster (Ryan) and it appears that unfortunately he has had a major tank crash with the heat and recent power outages. The prize colony is no longer alive. In any event it was still fun and we have the org. frags to enjoy. Tom |
