Default ATL Rommel's Original Rainbow Acro

I accidentally broke this bad boy today. Cap was covering it up, and it really needs light to color up. Anyone have any luck with keeping this one lower in the tank?? Seems to only color up when you really pound it with light. Im getting 600 PAR around it. Seems like i can experiment with it. Nothing like experimenting with your higher end frags! specially when you say, dahh..I knew better then to move it from 600 to 200 PAR.

Aren't pics required, especially when talking about higher end pieces?

I knew you guys would want some pics, but the lights were off at 11 pm when i decided to post, and guess what....yup, still off. I will get some pics today. Either one of you have this one? I know i split my pink lemon into two and one is almost in the sand and the other is almost at the top and they look pretty much the same right now, same polyp extension and color, but they are still too small to know for sure.

I wish I had some, my tank is still spsless. Plan to start getting into it though after the upgrade is all done... and who doesn't love seeing pics, especially of higher end stuff

I try not to frag any of the high end stuff unless its really needed. I have a few tabling acros that are really sweet. But most of the higher price stuff grows much slower. Iv had the ORA german blue polyp for 3 years, and its only maybe 6 inches tall. Same for most of the ATL acros, they really encrust, but sure grow slow. Its funny, but i swear some of my chalices grow faster!!

perhaps you should experiment with the frag in my tank and I can experiment with a high end sps in your tank...wink wink..nudge nudge.

I have read that it likes lower light (back when atlantis would write care instructions in the description of the coral). No personal experience with it, though. I would think it would do well at the bottom of the tank. Does yours have the coloration like the pic on atlantis? a nice green with orange?

Lets see some pics!!!!

Totally don't blame you for not doing much fragging, I don't plan to do alot of it other then for some friends (always good to have some friends to share stuff with incase you ever need a frag back, and vice versa ), even with my cheaper stuff until my tank fills in more lol
