Time zones on this site...

I can't adjust the time properly on this site. Right now, I have the time zone set for -5 hours/est and it the site tells me that it's 8:58 when it's really 9:58. I can try to switch the time zone to -4 hours/ atlantic time but the site shows me 10:58 when it's really 9:58. So, I try to adjust the time zone by one hour to make up for the one hour difference and the time gets switched by 2 hours keeping it at a one hour difference but fast instead of slow. Can this be fixed?

Try changing your daylight saving time (dst) settings to automatically dectect dst.

I was having the same problem a few months ago... not sure what I did, but it seems to be working fine now. As your bio says... "Does time matter?" LOL

Try setting it to GMT-4. That's what my time zone on the site is set for, the site time = real time. Also, check your computer time setting, should be Eastern Daylight Time with auto detect of daylight savings time.

Hmm, I had "automatically adjust for DST" on and switched it to "DST" always on" and the time is fine now. Apparently, the first option doesn't automatically adjust for DST. Anyways, it works now.

fishtal, that's reffering to a different sort of time. I wrote that to suggest that someone with one year "experience" isn't necessarily less experienced or knowledgeable than someone with 20 years "experience" and vise versa. To me, time doesn't matter in that regard.
