From what I hear Joes Juice doesnt work very well but dont know for sure. You could try it if you have some or try some white vinegar, maybe some one else can give you an idea because I have been lucky and havent had to deal with YET and hope I never do

Can you take the rock out of the water? I burn them with a butane torch. Bit extreme but works.

Heard people use heavy kalkwasser paste with a siringe or very hot RO/DI water when in water. You need to siphon them out quickly, though

Joes juice worked for me..... they are hard to remove.... they spread easily.... if you remove the rock..... you won't get them all off.... Not unless you let the rock dry out completely... which will kill everything.

Scraping it off probably won't work, they tend to grow back anyway. Taking the rock out and burning it off with a butane torch or lighter and THEN scraping off the burned remains has always worked real well for me (if I could get the rock out) and will ensure that you don't have to kill everything beneficial in the rock by drying it out.
Joe's juice has always been (again, for me) very hit and miss. I would imagine that boiling hot RO/DI water would probably do the trick, but no way to tell until you try it.
