First off, if you look at my candy cane you'll see an outgrowth of a stem of some type. Is it ok to trim it off and if so how would I?

Next there is a growth similar to a cap (actually looks more like the really wrinkly end of purple cabbage) popping out around my nano. One is deep brown, the other is rust colored and the third is deep purple. Any ideas what is is. The deep brown is growing in layers. The rust colored and purple one are simply single "leaves" continually expanding. Any ideas on these? Also something in the tank which houses an emerald crab, a clown and some type of worm is eating the unidentified growths.

Also, how do I upload pics without them being downsized?
