Water source

Ok I have a problem. I was moving some stuff around behind my tank today and noticed that the carpet was damp. It was damp in the back and under the stand. There is no leakage what so ever and I'm confused. I'm thinking it's just due to the humidity in my room possibly. Anybody have any suggestions????
How Salty is it compared to tank water (by taste), and how much water volume is there?
I would really Really look hard for a plumbing slow leak. Don't forget to look from odd perspectives, like from underneath upwards.
Try putting a fan on the wet area, and AC on in the house (as a dehumidifier). If it is a mysterious (ie: "uncoordinated move," for me) leak it will all dry out and stay gone. If it is a real leak, it either won't dry or it will come back quickly.
If you have ever had a major spill of seawater in the area, residual salt may indeed have pulled water out of the air, but the volume should be limited. It should taste Very Salty.
Straight-up condensation from a surface that is COLDER than surrounding air, shouldn't be too salty (likely will have some from stray salt).
Just look really really carefully at the tank seams, plumbing, etc. I use a flashlight that is really intense in a darker room, from odd angles to increase my yeild when looking for liquid leaks in plumbing, fuel lines, etc.
