i guess it just wont happen! oh well, go bears!
that's the worst part about the lions they look great but in the end they disappoint. one of them once said We were this close to winning. sorry but when there are only two teams playing this still translates too Loser! :secret:

yeah i am.maybe if they go the whole season without a win, ford will wake up and fire everyone and sell the team to someone who will run it properly and appreciate it.

Is anyone else here sort of hoping they just go all the way and break Tampa's record? At this point, if you're going to stink, you might as well be the best ever at it.

Maybe it's just me.

unfortunately for us that won't happen either...Knowing the lions, they will end up winning just enough games to screw up their draft pick....they are at least always dependable on doing that...and the sad thing is that the game(s) they win will be against a very good team like indy or jacksonville or something like that

The problem isn't draft picks. The Lions have had plenty of those.

The real problem is the team's inability to develop talent.

An above average college player usually begins as a below average NFL player.
With very few exceptions, even Heisman candidates need to adjust to the NFL.

Don't ask me why, but some teams are just better at this than others.

Super Bowl teams are built from college stars that have become NFL stars and lots of late round picks that have been developed into quality players.

The Lions are built from college stars playing like college stars.

True true I see what your saying...Now that I think about haven't most quaterbacks that started with the lions then left for another team became succesful...maybe not superbowl success but a good player..

This poses another riddle question

Let's see, if the Lions FIRE everyone, and go 0-16.... They will still draft a receiver, but no one will be there to throw the Ball!
if nobody goes to see the lions at the game and the game is blacked out, do they still loose? :jester:

If I was coach playing against the lions I would simply say do we want to be the team that looses to these guys. lets go out a win win win done.

Fords need to let a manager manage and coach coach leave them alone you are the owner. tell them they have three years to improve the lions and I am not saying win the super bowl but show improvement. if they can't get another coach and or manager.
