We are talking about a water change here.... but with 3 day old baby banggai's in the system.....I'm a little iffy on shocking them.

I have a 120 gallon total water volume, I use RO/DI, Coral Pro Salt, and usually do 20-30 gallons, every week to two weeks. I usually do them every week at 20 gallons.

I got busy the last two weeks...and haven't done one yet!! Everything is golden, but I have babies in the tank, I've been feeding heavy and want to get some new water in there...but not too much... I think I will do a 10 gallon max. per day.. I always mix my water up the day before...

In addition, I am setting up a sweet 5 gallon banggai baby tank that will be plumbed into my other system. Just for the first few weeks of their lives. Then they are going into another project I have going...

10 gallons sound good? or am I over-reacting??? (my first babies)

I have the same size tank and do the same size water changes 25 - 30 gallons every couple weeks. Sounds like you have thought this through. I agree that smaller, daily or every couple, few days would be the prudent approach. Maybe start with ten a couple of times, go to 15 for a couple and then back to regular water changes?
