I'm am sure its not a record but I just pulled out a piece of bubble algae out of my tank that is/was the size of a raquetball. It had about the same consistency. I know I should of pulled it out a while ago just in case it broke but it was very tough and in a tight spot so I didn't get to it until now when I was moving some rocks around. I just thought it was interesting to see one that big.

I did get a pic but it just looks like a green ball where on one side it comes to a point. I set a quarter next to it as a size comparison. I was going to post the pic but I didn't think the pic was that exciting. Looks like a green ball next to a quarter.
