Skimmer not producing micro bubbles after cleaning, what could be the issue?

Skimmer not producing micro bubbles. It's making large bubbles. Dime size bubbles. I cleaned out my skimmer, and BAM no more micro bubbles. I completely took out everything, and it's not blocked in any sort of way.

Someone help me please.

Ok. It's a berlin skimmer. I was testing it out in a bucket and it only pumped big bubbles. I put it back in my tank about 5 minutes ago in hopes it would start pumping small bubbles, and it did right off the bat. Works perfectly now. After 30 minutes of trying to get it to form micro bubbles, and breaking part of my baffle (F#&K), it turns out it needed salt water? i dunno smh.

Now to fix my sump. I can't empty it, so i don't know how i'm going to fix this one.
