How often does everyone actually clean off the gunk that builds up on the collection funnel of their skimmer? I know it needs a small layer to work well but when is it too much?

I think peek performance time frame really depends on the skimmer. I feel as though mine is working at its best a couple days after being cleaned. On that note I clean mine completely about once every two weeks.

Empty collection cup and clean neck once a week.
Vinegar bath and clean entire skimmer 2-3 times a year.
