Back in 2008 I had a couple year running reef tank with soft and hard corals. I was using 2 metal halides and four t5 bulbs. Im about to start up another tank and all I see are led lights in both oceans and seas and the other place on Gratiot. The tank will be a red sea 54 gallon drilled with sump

I'm bored and want to do some totally unnecessary work on my tank. I just had to drill into the floor to run an Ethernet cord and thought I could run some vinyl tubing from my 3 skimmer air intakes into the crawl space to get fresher air into the system and raise my PH. I don't even think I need...
I'm having a hard time keeping the blue color in my hard corals. I got a palmers blue from TBD a little while ago and over the time I've had it it has become a dull lavender-gray color with blue tips and rim where it is encrusting. Anything that can help get the deep blue color back?
Just got my water tested after a recent water change.
Here was the LFS numbers -

Hi just started testing for calcium in our 65 gal tank. The test only goes up to 520 and our water isn't even registering on the test. So its way too high. What are the side effects of too much calcium in the water? And how do I lower it? I'm not dosing for anything, not using any supplements...
I have the 29G Biocube RapidLED LED retrofit kit and the lights randomly went out.
I tested everything and found that the voltage to the LED's is good (41.8v DC), I am not reading any Amps, i have only been able to read 15 microamps. This is on both drivers, i thought this might be too much of...
I've seen watts / gal. recommendations already.
And, as usual, various opinions about that.

My question is simply this....
A: How many 120 watt fixtures are really needed for a 36Lx24Wx22D tank? (my 85 gal.)
These most likely will be canopy...
