Just saw this in my tank this morning. It appears to be a mass of red eggs in a gelatenous mass topped off with some mucus (it is about 1 inchi in diameter). I've never seen this in my tank before, any ideas of what they may be from?
My guess is that they are snail eggs, I currently...
So apparently I've learned to grow chaeto. Not the most exotic of items for trade but It's time to trim it up a bit. I'm not looking for anything in particular but other macros (except caulerpa), a blue mushroom, some blue xenia or pulsing xenia, some trochus or nerite or cerith snails, etc...
I'm looking for any brackish water inverts, such as fiddler crabs, green legged hermits, and nerite snails. Also looking for mangrove plants, willing to pay extra if they have well developed roots and leaves
I ordered a good size clean up crew from reef cleaners and these came in as nerite snails. Since I put them in about a month ago all these snails did was climb to corners of tank and hang out in big groups. Today Now I noticed they were all in a line in one side of the tank. Any ideas?
On the last stage of diatom algae. The green algae are starting to come up. so i'm on my way there. ammo 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10. do 10% pwc weekly. almost two months old. so far i have 2 crieth snails, 2 nerite snails, 2 nassarius snails n 3 peppermint shrimp to bring down apistia outbreak.
20 gallon long cuc stocking list. I don't want any crab unless I really need too.
4 nerite snails
4 nassarius snail
4 cerith snail
1-2 trochus snail
2 Peppermint shrimp a week or two after the snail cuc
Might add a skunk cleaner shrimp down the road before adding fish. Any advice will be...
I think they are nerite snail eggs. Over the last 2 nights alot have popped up on my back glass. Anyone agree or know different. I've also heard they don't fertilize/hatch in the home reef. Anyone know if there is any truth to that? Thanks in advance
