I have a 60 gallon with a 40 3 chambered sump and I can't get my nitrogen down to low levels.
3 weeks ago I pulled all my live rock as it was covered in hair algae and I did a a 80 gallon water change with ro water. Since then I've done 2 40 gallon water changes and my nitrogen levels are off...
I have had my 36 gal up for almost a year. I have had some hair algae issues but this other algae started growing and I pick it out and it comes right back. Someone told me its a type of macro algae. I have bought different kinds of snails, blue leg hermits, lawnmower blenny, an emerald crab and...
He everyone!
I’m new not only to this forum and to corals keeping as well. I’d like to buy the corals for my future 90 gal tank. Surely, I want to have nice white sand. Is it real to keep it always white? How do you do that?
thanks
46 gallon FOWLR with stand, available once everything else is sold ($100). Around 80 lbs of live rock ($2.50 a lb). A few inverts, sea hare ($15, must be sold next week due to running out of algae in the tank, will take to LFS if I can't sell it) conch ($10) and hermit crabs (a couple zebra legs...
Looking to get a dwarf sea hare. Not a full size sea hare, there is a dwarf variety that I am interested in. Please let me know if you either have one, or know where I can get one reasonably. Thanks!
I recently acquired a sea hare in order to get rid of my red hair algae. Unfortunately, the sea hare seemed uninterested in it and my blenny was picking at him so bad that I took him out of the tank so as to not hurt him or anyone else in the tank. He is currently in a tank with no filtration...
My dendro has red algae growing all over the rock, along with some green. It seems to be choking out the dendros, even though they're all still opening. I've tried to get it off manually and haven't had any luck. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
I am in need of a sea hare, please let me know if you have one for sale or to borrow. I have tons of red hair algae all over my rocks and just did a full clean on my tank today. I cannot scrape it off as it is well anchored. Let me know. Thanks
I've been struggling with GHA for about 6-8 months. I have tried everything (Sea Hare, lights out, Kent Tech-M) and have been running seachem Phosguard for nearly the whole time. My parameters are below. I currently employ a weekly manual removal schedule but if I miss a week the algae grows...
What's the best long hair algae eating fish/invert? I Have a mexican turbo (he's a monster) but he wont eat this, seems too long. Maybe a Tang or something? When I say long I mean like 1-3" long hair. It's weird and I want it gone.
Thanks!
