If you ordered a new 175w MH bulb online and it went bad withing 12 days. How would you feel about this and what would you expect.

I have just had this happen to me by the company I ordered if from. They are claiming there is no warranty.

I'd like to be fair about this. If I'm in the wrong and deserve no replacement bulb than fine. I order alot of crap online and I sell alot of crap online. I expect good costomer service. if I get it I stick with that company, If I get bad then I never order from again.

I won't say the name of this company but if this matter doesn't get taken care fo I will. I was recommended this guy from a michiganreefers.

but like I said if thats standard to not replace a $45 bulb that goes out in 12 days than my bad.

Let me guys what you think about this.

I havent had to have a bulb replaced before but it sure seems like they should replace it to me.Unless you were running it on the wrong ballast or sprayed water on it or something. I definately wouldnt order from them again.

It was made by... This is an imported bulb made by Plus Lighting Co, Limited.

I'm waiting to comment on any of this, still waiting the the suppliers second reply. I don't know if I'm dealing with a sales guy or the head guy. I am pretty upset about this...

I thought it was going to be a no hassle type of deal, so I was going to buy 4, and maybe even 6 more bulbs from him. I sent a letter asking about the replacement and the price for the other bulbs I needed. I was just going to order them and he could ship them all together. But his reply was to send me a free bulb if I order those 6 other bulbs from him.

With poor customer service, like that why would I want more of that product? Anyways, I'm letting him mull it over and I will even call to talk to the owner if I need. Hopefully he will change his position. This has already cost him the 6 additional bulbs I would of ordered. And I will not hesitate to post his name on this site to warn anyone else.

If he replaces my bulb with no more hassles I'm not saying anything on here about him.

Twice now I thought I was gonna have to try to return one of the Plus bulbs. First time one went yellow on me- but I turned it and it was white again.

Then one went out and I turned off the other when I was messing with that and neither would turn back on. found out my timers both died at the same time. thats kinda weird

I hope you didn't buy them on my account, sorry if you did, I said I would be the ginea pig. I'm still waiting to see how my corals are gonna react. So far I have some gold zoos that really don't like them but everything else looks fine.

inreef.com. I just ordered 2 400 xm 20k's from them. So far so good. I have in the past always ordered from champion lighting, and only had one problem. They took care of it, and they didn't even need/want an excuse.

trick,
Sorry to hear you had a bulb burn out so fast. We have the same problem at the shop from time to time. I now buy virtually all of the shop's bulbs from one particular vendor because they always take care of these situations quickly and fairly. We're required to send the bulb in and pay the shipping that direction, but the new bulb goes in the mail to us the day we call it in.
I hope you find a resolution to your situation.

Steve
