-confused i have a 3 gal pico and the temp is 69-70 is this bad?i have 2 fish and some kenya and other coral they look to be doing fine?

That is a little frigid.........well actually alot IMO. 78-82 F is what I would expect you to hear on this sight. I strive for 81.5

That is a bit chilly for most reef inhabitants. I have a 3G pico too, I use the small, flat heater, I think it's made by Elite. It's on all the time and is made to warm the water a few degrees above the ambient temp... I unplug it in the Summer. They are inexpensive and you can find them at Meijer for around $10, I think.

Mini Heaters

I use a Hydor Mini Heater (7.5W) for my 3 gal. It keeps it at 80 degrees. Low profile, plate-like and no glass or thermostat. I like it. They also make a 15 Watt.

LFS sell them-about $15.
