I have a GEO reactor and am having problems keeping the pH up. It is about 7.95 in the morning and 8.0 - 8.1 during the day. I was wondering if anyone has added a second chamber to the GEO reactor, or knows where to get one. I also have no Idea what to do with the second chamber. I have read that by oxygenating the effluent you can blow off some of the CO2 and therefore raise the effluents pH before it enters your tank. But I have also seen where some people fill the second chamber with media, any suggestions? Thanks,
Marie

The second chamber will increase the Ph of the output
The effluent will react with the additional media and disolve more causing the PH to increase

Does your output hose drip into the sump? The reason I ask is I have seen some submerged in the sump with it that way any excess C02 is then contacting the tank water and causing the Ph to drop

You can make a cheap second chamber out of a water filter housing like the one an RO uses Just get the housing and a refillable cartridge fill it with media and plumb it in to the out put of your reactor.
