My alk is low (5.6 dkh) I need to do an adjustment and get something to dose on a regular basis. I don't want to wait a week for online order. Where is a decently priced place within an hour of Flushing (Flint area) that I could pick up? Any suggestion on what I should use?

Looking backwards - this is the 75 you just put up this summer?

What salt are you using?
How many times did you run the alk test kit? consistent?

I ask because it's suspiciously low for such a new tank.

Yes this is that tank. I ran allk test 2x to make sure. It's the API test so not greatest, but good enough. I use Instant Ocean Reef Crystal's. Coraline algae has been taking off lately which is where I think all demand is. Sound plausible? I dont have a large coral demand yet. I have SPS and LPS but it's all still small.

Something isn't setting right - RC typically is very high alk. Coralline could account for it.
I'd expect you would have noticed bleaching or tissue loss on your acros.
I'd mix some fresh salt, and test that first.

Had left over from last change salinity is 1.026 and alk 10 to 10.5.
