I wouldnt go so far as to say a year. a good month should do just fine, especially kick starting the nitrate cycle with live sand and rocks. hell, anenomes are out of water for hours during lowtide on the wild wild reef. theyre insanely hardy.

Alas, it does depend on what type of anenome you want to keep. a rose anenome will be much more sensitive than a condy.

Btw, i have bubble tipped anenomes (THANKS TIM T FOR THE INFESTATION! [-bonc01] ) growing under 250watt 20,000k XM bulbs in a 50gal.
