If anyone is looking for southdown playsand its in sterling heights. It is at a store called Aquatic Discoveries. It is the exact same as southdown just packaged by anouther company called YardRight. It is called YardRight Select Tropical Play Sand. It is 14.99 for a fourty pound bag. The store is located on the corner of 15 mile and ryan.it is in the back corner of the shopping center.

in the main tank use really fine sand for that 3" it works better than the coarse stuff for de-nitr. purposes and a 3" will actually do the job well if its fine stuff.

Do you have a phone number for the store. Living in Westland I would hate driving all that way and find out they sold all the sand. [-ashamed] I'm sure I would have to buy something to justify the trip though!![8D]

I think just getting the sand at that price would be enough. but for everyone that needs the number it is 586-264-6261. Be sure to take a look at there 600 gallon tank in the back of the store it is very nice.

I am still working with the local HD to get it in. They had the regional buyer in yesterday and I supplied photos of the product we are looking for. The buyer knew what the purpose of the product was. I will know more either today or Monday. The store manager has done a great job in following up with me
