Looking for a reasonably priced overflow for 75gal reef Im setting up and wondering if anyone has tried one of these.

mine is similiar and works great. i do like the self start feature and it is quiet.

I have a friend that uses one that looks identical and likes it. I'm partial to my LifeReef though.

I bought that exact same one a few months back. It works well, but starting the siphon can be a bit of a nuisance, but once going it stays prety solidly flowing, and it's decently quiet....but with my halides and fans going, it pretty much drowns out any noise from the overlflow!

I use the same kind. Doesn't have the auto start but it has never lost siphon. The cpr's take less tank space but don't hold the siphon as well. The U-tubes are easier to clean than the cpr overflow's.

I think I remember a concern with the dual u pipes. If you set up your system to flow both and 1 fails, your gonna have a flood. I suppose it's similar to having one tube fail but now multiply that risk by 2. Upsize the u tube to 1 1/2" (homemade) and you won't have that problem. If you make a homemade tube, add a powerhead in your system with an airline connected to the top of the u tube. If the tube ever loses siphon, the powerhead should have enough pull to draw the air out and restart the flow before you flood. Good luck.
