I am amazed at how easily my wife has agreed to have a closet in our spare bedroom turned into a home for a sump/fuge for my 75 gallon. I'm not too keen on drilling my tank just yet...so I want to use an overflow... running through out lvng rm wall...

I have an old 55 gal tall that I would like to use for this. Is there any drawback to using a tall tank?

I there any type of hight rule for the overflow to the sump? I know it has to be lower...

I'm sure Ill think of more questions..

Nope-not if it doesnt have to fit in a stand.
Just as long as its low enough for the overflow.
