I'm thinking of putting a pair of bangai cardinals in my 75 gallon reef. I've read that, like lionfish, they're likely to eat anything they can fit in their mouths. Would my sexy shrimp be in trouble? I'd much rather have the shrimp than the fish.
You mean like this? That was one of my firefish! And, BTW, it didn't fit into his mouth. Took him two days to get it down. Funniest thing I ever saw, him swimming around with the red tail sticking out, once I realized he wasn't going to die.
that's scary. I have a banggai and a helfrichi firefish that are both still young but now I'm worried about the cardinal eating him when he's grown. that firefish was not cheap.
