Still fairly new, is it like a slime coating everything or more like a dusting. Could be diatoms or cyano. Both can be easy fixes if you figure out what the source of the nutrition is, i.e. overfeeding, not enough circulation or proper filtration.

diatoms are pretty common. they kinda look like brown dust, as jesse had mentioned. My newly cycled tank was too close to a window and had a CRAZY diatom outbreak. moving it out of the sun and adding some snails helped. In my 10g tank i added 5 cerith and 5 astrea snails. they cleaned it up in a matter of a few days.

given that this is the algae you're plagued with, it's really easy to get rid of (it should wipe right off the glass with your hand... give it a rub!)

remember - algae needs a few things to live. nitrates, phosphates, and lighting being some of the most important. Check your levels.
