I am sorry to give this guy up because he is very cool, but the BTA is just TOO BIG for my tank.

The BTA looks better than the picture. For sizing reference, picture the clownfish is about 3". You are seeing about HALF the BTA in the photo.

On days when it is fully extended, it is around 8-9" easily, maybe bigger. Some days it will be between 3-5". Sometimes when it is fully extended, it makes a crease that looks like it is trying to split, but it hasn't.

I don't really know what influences how big it will open on any given day. I think after it eats, it looks smaller. Maybe in the wild, if it is hungry and opens up really big, it has more surface area to catch food. Just a hunch??? Anybody know?

It's been in my tank for almost 2 months now and it is doing great. It has grown quite a bit in that time. It feeds on whatever I put on it...frozen, pellets, flakes, he is a good eater is not picky! [D] It is VERY hardy! The clownfish feeds him too.

As you can see, it will glady take a clownfish.

Asking $50.00 (this is very close to what I paid). Open to offers or trades, especially ricordea.

Fish Doctors sells much smaller 2" brown BTA for $35.00-45.00

Anybody is welcomed to come over and see it first if that helps you to make a decision.

Thanks

Sent u a PM.

Update on the picture. I took this pic tonight.

It is in the corner of my tank. Sorry the picture quality isn't better. The picture was taken through the side panel of my glass. The glass has NEVER been cleaned/scraped by me since I started the tank in September. Snails do the job for me.

I've got a 75 gallon. It has ALOT of corals in it. When the aneomone opens up, it touches the corals. I want to thin down some of my collection of critters. Corals are practically elbow to elbow, even the stinging ones. I'm planning to change the look of half of my tank. The half, the anemone currently occupies.
