I'm looking to start cycling my 150 and was thinking of doing it with a school of chromis maybe 8-9. Does anyone have any they are looking to get rid of?

Please don't use live fish to cycle a tank. The ammonia literally burns their skin. You can accomplish the same thing with a pinch of food or a piece of fish from the grocery store. Some people even pee in the tank for some ammonia.

Normally people may add 1 to 3 fish depending on size of tank. Adding 9 fish at 1 time is too much shock to the system. if you add fish you will need to check ammonia daily so you don't kill the fish

I've cycled tanks before and this tank has a ton of live rock from my other tank as well as tons of crushed coral from an established tank.

I'm not saying you can't cycle a tank with fish...just saying its cruel and unneccesary.

a little confused about this post? so you have cycled tanks before and know all about it, have loads of "live rock and sand" in the tank you need to cycle and still find a need for all those fish. I tell you what if you just want some fish that's business but if your really lookin to cycle your tank, your already behind! chances are you already have a cycle going and will most likely stress out and or kill some fish in the process. also just a side note :most fish stores have chromis in stock and pretty cheap too. for as much as id like to sell my chromis its not worth the $6 ea they are probably worth to tear my tank apart to get them. hope that helps
