I feel my 20k Radiums are too blue. It is almost time to replace and I think I will try a 10k.

Agreed. 20 K's are way too blue. For a nice look without supplementals straight 14K's are very nice, especially with a nice white sand bed.

I have only have 6500, but I have 2 14k on order and should have them by friday. I am excited to finally see my tank in some light that can do it some just.

I just ordered the XM 10Ks which are allegidly actually closer to 14K. I like the crisp white look better than my current XM 20Ks which I agree are too blue! I'll see how they are.

I run a 150W 20K HQI and think that the color is awesome. I even like it better than my other tank that has two VHO actinic whites and two actinics.

i like 20k xm's and radiums as well. it is a nice color even without vho or pc supplementing it. alot of the color you get out of 20 ks has to do with the ballast running them. some burn them more blue than others. however, my favorite is 10ks with strong vho supplementation.

I run AB 10Ks. It's very white, but I'd like a little more blue to them. I even run 2 110w Super Actinics.

I am using one 400 watt 4300k which is obviously too yellow. (bulbs came w/) I added 1 40 watt blue actinic and 1 50/50 blue/sunlight. This is still too yellow but is sufficient light for decent growth.

If you are ever in a pinch for a bulb, Home depot sells the 4300k bulbs for $29.00
I would hate to buy an expensive bulb only to find I didn't like it.
Anybody got any used MH bulbs to sell cheap?

i have a 150 watt 20 k xde (3 months old) and a 10 k ab (7 months) i would sell for really cheap. but i assume you are looking for just a 400w.

I would have to go for the good old combination of 10 MH and actinic (420nm) suppliment. Tanks with this type of setup are usually the most pleasing to my eye.

Hey turtle. I have some 6500k that I am not going 2 need an a few days. They are about 3 months only, maybe a little less yellow than ur current bulbs, but not much if any notice.
