I have a Fluval 204 filter and today I shut it down and pulled it out for routine cleaning. When I hooked it up and fired it up a bunch out white stuff shot out of the return flow. It looked like some kind of funk. It filled the tank and looked like a snow storm had hit. I've never had this happen before. Can someone tell me what it is and if I should be concerned about it? Thanks in advance for any help!

What did you clean it with? Maybe you just disturbed some sediment during cleaning that got kicked back out when you fired it up. I would think if it was bad, it's too late now!!

I get that as well sometimes, and I think it is from calcium build-up that you did not clean all the way from inside the tubes probably.
