Hi,

I've put together a 65g (36x18x24) and would like some opinions on finalizing my flow.

I currently have a couple Koralias doing the job (550 and 1050gph). I don't like how much room they take up and am looking to either an MP40 or a couple tunze 6045's.

My plan is a mixed reef with SPS,LPS, and Zoas.

Would the MP40 or 6045's be TOO much?
I've read you want 20-40x you tank volume for flow. 65x20-40= 1300-2600gph

I'm leaning toward the Tunze 6045's because I can get two for $100 shipped! They are not the "new" adjustable models but still have the titanium shaft.

I know I can find MP40s used for $300

What would you do and why?

THANKS!

I recently added an MP40 and an MP10 on my 90, and am very happy with the Ecotech products so far. Time will tell as to how well they hold up. For a smaller tank I would think an MP40 would be great. Just the MP40 in reefcrest was adequate on my tank. Two MP10s working together (assuming you get the wireless models) would be awesome too. The ecosmart modes are very cool.
