GARF is a great place! I have ordered alot of stuff from them and I have never had a problem. Infact I have 2 100g reef janitors kits and 10lbs of grunge showing up tomorrow for a customers tank!

If you do buy grunge to seed a sand bed be careful how you put it in the tank! Or you wont be able to see anything for a few days.:D

I have a 55g breeder that I setup using GARF's bullet proof reef with grunge and an aragocrete large cave and arch. It's been up since April. The aragocrete is starting to get nicely covered in coraline. The fish really like the cave and the holes. The grung on the other hand, I don't really care for the athestics of it... I am slowing trying to remove it. I find it difficult to vacuum and there is a lot of detritis in the sand underneath. I also think it's hard for the cleanup crew to move all the rocks to get to the sand... It did do it's job in cycling the tank, however....

GARF from a customer service point of view is great... Very helpful and good to work with.

I agree about not using it for your primary sand bed material since it does not look all that great. Although few could argue with the results GARF has had with the bullet proof reefs! I use it more for seeding sands beds that anything else. Its so spread out you cant even really tell its in there.

Sure you can put it in the sump or behind the rock work basically any where the water will filter thru. Might take a little longer to take effect in the main from a remote location but it will work its way there.

The grunge is basically crushed live rock, sand, and larger grain aragonite. Its basically live sand like any where else. I think the bio diversity in the grunge is amazing though.

Edit: Woops didnt see some one already left the link. So ill explain what it looks like a little to not waste this post!
