two days ago i started to dial in the reactor. i set the aquarium levels to 7 dkh alk and 450 ppm calcium. using a ph controller i set the effulent ph to 6.7 and the drip rate of 35. after 24 hours i checked the levels and they went up slightly, by 48 hours the alk rose to 11 dkh and calcium 500 ppm.

My question is, since I'm using a ph controller to keep the ph levels constant do i only adjust the drip rate to lower the dosage or should i also raise the ph level of the effulent?

I'm using Gen-X CRM media. Does anyone have experience with this brand? What is the highest the ph can be and still dissolve the media.

To avoid the levels getting any higher i have shut off the CO2 to the reactor till i figure this out.

thank you for the help,
Jebus

Try decreasing both effluent and Ph,try a ph of 7.8 if probe is correct, also have you calibrated your ph probe lately? I would double check so you do not turn your media to mush;)
