I bought a 34 cube from them a while back with there own built in overflow siliconed to the back wall, I've since added a sump with a hob overflow and don't use the built in for its intended purposes anyone see a problem taking a razor to the silicone to remove the box?

Sorry it's not actually drilled, i wish it was. They had a return pump in the chamber to pull the water through filter pads, kinda like a nano cube I think

I wouldn't try to remove it. Most likely the seam holding it is shared with one of the tank seams and you wouldn't want to damage it. If you wanted to reseal the whole tank then I say go for it.
