Well I tested my Mg and was suprized at the results. I have not added anything to the aquarium to increase the Mg so I figured I would test it and then add some if needed. I do not need to add any because the Mg is about 3000ppm!!! Twice the maximum amount the aquarium should have. So now the only way I can think to lower my Mg is to do water changes or add some mangroves. At the time of the Mg test the Alk was about 3.43ppm and the Ca was about 450ppm. Any other ideas on how to lower the Mg.

What made you test Mg? This seems to be an unusual test so I'm curious if there was some issue that makes you think your Mg is low. I try to stick with the mantra of the less additives you add, the better.

Well if the Mg is not high enough it makes it very difficult to stabilize the Ca and Alk. I have not added any thing, especially after hearing about what is in the salt I use already. IO

How has the Alk and CA been? if your tank has been fine I would not worry much about it. If the Alk and CA are stable in your system why tinker?
